Jim Black Construction Restoration Projects Photo Gallery

Photos visually convey the journey Jim Black Construction’s clients take, from disaster to restoration. From water damage and fires to builder defect and age, Jim Black Construction strives to restore your property to pre-loss, or better, condition. Our experience rebuilding residential, multi-family and commercial properties, allows Jim Black Construction to ensure our clients receive the best final product.

In our first gallery, severe flooding damaged this residence. The home was vacant, and over a Colorado winter, the house experienced a furnace malfunction. Because there was no one tending to the home at the time, the pipes froze, causing several pipe fractures throughout the entire structure. Once springtime elevated the temperature above freezing, the house flooded extensively, and remained saturated for days. Jim Black Construction mitigated the water, evaluated the structure, and constructively restored the home to a safe, mold-free environment.

In gallery two, a house fire began in the basement.  The fire created catastrophic damage to the home’s foundation and framing.  After proper testing, we found the structure had asbestos present and needed to be properly abated. Jim Black Construction was granted a permit from the state to demolish the property, and worked closely with the owners, architects and engineers to totally redesign this residential structure from the ground up.

This project was quite an interesting, and fun, complete re-build for us. This property experienced a gas leak that resulted in an explosion. Luckily, the mother and daughter were not present in the house at the time of the explosion. The house was a total loss. We worked closely with the women and their insurance carrier to restore their home with great new amenities. The eclectic and very earth conscious pair now reside in a home exuding aluminum ceilings and colorful elements, all fully fueled by solar power.

The final gallery takes you through a horrific fire that engulfed this family’s home. The photos speak volumes of the damage the structure suffered and its journey of restoration. The pictures definitely speak for themselves, but to understand the true impact and personal story of this project, we encourage you to watch the  video created by one of the members of the family.
