City of Westminster’s Fire Station 5 Open House

Frank Varra Memorial Golf Tournament 2016

On May 31st, Jim Black Construction again participated in the Frank Varra Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament was originally scheduled for May 16th, but it had to be postponed due to rain, cold, and general golf-adverse weather. Westminster Fire Open House 2016

Westminster Fire Department held their Spring Open House on Saturday, May 3rd, and Jim Black Construction was on hand again to connect with the community. Every year around this time, the fire fighters of Westminster Station 5 gather together and hold a cook out with supplies donated by JBC. Teddy Bears for Denver Firefighter’s Museum

In the heart of downtown Denver, just off Tremont and Colfax, there is a 106 year old firehouse that houses the Denver Firefighter’s Museum. During the first week of February, they host educational events for Burn Awareness Week, culminating in a Free Day at the museum. During this, firefighters and museum personnel use teddy bears to demonstrate proper first aid and other techniques to children.
