City of Westminster’s Fire Station 5 Open House

The City of Westminster’s Fire Station 5 recently had their annual Open House, which we were able to sponsor; something that Jim Black Construction has done for the last several years.  We enjoy supporting and working with the community and especially with the firefighters, as we work very closely with them throughout each year.  The fire station holds this open house annually so that the community can come together and meet their local firefighters.  This year, the Westminster Police Department attended with their booth so that they could get in on the fun as well.  The open house included firehouse tours, vintage firetruck rides, and the firefighters displaying some of the equipment that is used during their calls, such as extended ladders and Jaws of Life.  A Flight for Life helicopter made an appearance, which was very exciting for the small children.  A couple of our people, Jessica and Blue, attended the event and were able to socialize with the community as they passed out toys and candy to the children that were there to join in on the fun.
